  • 8 ounces Pasta Gluten-free pasta can be used if necessary.
For the Chicken
  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Can use frozen chicken, thaw beforehand.
For the Sauce

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, fresh preferred.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped, shallots can be used.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Opt for coconut milk or cashew cream for vegan.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Use vegetable broth for vegetarian.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast can be a vegan substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust for spice preference.
  • to taste Salt Essential seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper Essential seasoning.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Chopped.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until onion is translucent. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  4. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Return cooked chicken and drained pasta to skillet, tossing to coat in sauce. Heat for about 2 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley before serving.
