  • 1 large Egg (beaten) for egg wash

  • 1 cup Mixed Berry Preserves or any berry/chocolate spread
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (melted) for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
For Topping
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar for sprinkling on top

Method
 

Instructions for Berry Puff Twists
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed frozen puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  3. Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Combine melted butter with vanilla extract and brush this mixture gently over the preserves.
  5. Slice the pastry into 8 equal strips and twist each strip into a spiral shape.
  6. Place the twisted pastries on the lined baking sheet, brush each with the beaten egg, and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm.
