Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to achieve a crispy texture.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Heat coconut oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
  4. Pan-fry the tofu for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Sauté diced red onion in the same skillet until softened, then add garlic and ginger.
  6. Whisk together coconut milk, lime juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, and cornstarch until smooth.
  7. Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  8. Combine tofu with the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  9. Garnish with cilantro before serving over rice or quinoa.
