Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for 10–15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk tahini, soy sauce, water, maple syrup, lemon pepper seasoning, and lemon juice together.
  3. Slice the pressed tofu and marinate it for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Mix cornstarch, lemon pepper seasoning, and sesame seeds on a plate, and coat the tofu slices.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the tofu for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Add reserved marinade, toss to coat, and serve garnished with lemon zest.
