Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and sugar. Cut in chilled unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add ice water until the dough holds together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

  5. Slice ripe pears and toss with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
