Ingredients
  

For the Noodles
  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles or any pasta of choice
For the Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Beef can substitute with turkey or chicken
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Butter can use oil as alternative
  • 1/4 cup Flour use gluten-free flour if necessary
  • 1 cup Beef Broth chicken broth can be used instead
  • 1 1/4 cups Milk or heavy cream for richness
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder fresh minced garlic can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder or sauté fresh onions
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream can use Greek yogurt as a substitute

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Cook the egg noodles for 6-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Return skillet to heat, add butter until bubbly, and whisk in flour for 2 minutes to make a roux.
  4. Slowly add beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in milk and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens again. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fold in cooked noodles and browned beef. Mix well until combined with the sauce.
  7. Off the heat, stir in sour cream until blended into the sauce. Serve hot.
