  2. Peel and chop about 2 medium sweet potatoes, boil for 15–20 minutes, then mash until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, combine sweet potato mash, almond butter, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until silky.
  4. Stir in grated ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix until evenly incorporated.
  5. Sprinkle baking soda over the batter and fold gently to combine.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
