For the Pears
  • 4 pieces Pears Use ripe but firm pears for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 1/4 cup Honey Maple syrup can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Pumpkin pie spice can be used for variation.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Real vanilla is preferred.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt Essential for depth of flavor.
For the Mascarpone Filling
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese Cream cheese can be used as an alternative.
For the Cranberry Drizzle
  • 1 cup Cranberries Fresh or thawed frozen.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar White sugar can be substituted.
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice Lemon juice is a good alternative.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the cores.
  3. Brush melted butter over cut sides of the pears, drizzle with honey, sprinkle with cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
  4. Place pears cut-side up in baking dish and roast for about 25-30 minutes.
  5. While roasting, mix mascarpone cheese, honey, and vanilla extract in a bowl until creamy.
  6. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, orange juice, and brown sugar; simmer for 6-8 minutes.
  7. Once pears are golden and tender, fill them with mascarpone and drizzle with cranberry sauce.
