Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash 2–3 very ripe bananas until smooth with a fork or potato masher
  3. Add softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, room-temperature eggs, sour cream, and pure vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet banana mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in optional add-ins like chopped walnuts or mini chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Pour the prepared batter into the greased pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before frosting if desired.
