  • 1 cup Water Ensure it's lukewarm.
For the Filling
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon Can be exchanged with pumpkin spice.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar White sugar can be used as an alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Substitute with vegan butter or olive oil.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For dusting.
  • Chopped Nuts or Raisins For extra texture and flavor.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt.
  2. Add olive oil and warm water, stirring until a shaggy dough forms, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
  1. Transfer the kneaded dough to a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Filling Preparation
  1. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl to prepare the filling.
Shaping
  1. Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Spread softened butter or vegan butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly.
Creating Swirls
  1. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into even pieces, placing them upright in a greased baking dish.
Second Rise
  1. Cover and let the swirls rise for 30 minutes in a warm area.
Preheat Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Baking
  1. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown, checking with a toothpick.
Cooling
  1. Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
