Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Prepare the cream cheese topping by beating the cream cheese and melted butter. Add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  5. After the cake cools slightly, sprinkle diced strawberries and chocolate chips over the top and spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Return the cake to the oven for another 15-20 minutes until the topping sets.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before serving.
