Step-by-Step Instructions for Broccoli With Garlic Sauce & Bacon
  1. In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil, adding a pinch of salt and a splash of oil. Add the chopped broccoli and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until vibrant green and tender but still crisp. Drain and let steam dry.
  2. Heat a medium frying pan over medium heat and add chopped bacon. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. In the same frying pan with bacon drippings, add finely chopped garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until golden. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Pour into the pan and stir constantly for about 10 seconds until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add the drained broccoli to the pan, gently toss until coated with sauce. Fold in crispy bacon pieces, heat through for an additional 1–2 minutes, and serve hot.
